01 — WHAT WE COLLECTOnly what we need to run the service.
Account information. Your name, email address, and (if applicable) the name of your team or organization.
Usage data. Which features you use, when, and how often — so we can improve the product. Aggregated and anonymized for analytics.
Maps and content you create. Stored encrypted at rest. They belong to you. We don't read them, mine them, or train on them.
Billing information. If you upgrade to a paid plan, we handle payments through Stripe. We never see your full card number.
02 — WHAT WE DON'T DOThe short list.
- We don't sell your data. Ever. To anyone.
- We don't run ads inside Bettermaps. There's no ad-tech tracking you across sites.
- We don't train AI models on your maps without explicit consent.
- We don't share your data with third parties except for the strict service providers listed below.
03 — WHERE YOUR DATA LIVESEU servers, encrypted.
All Bettermaps data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
Service providers we use: AWS (hosting), Stripe (payments) and Google Analytics (site analytics — only loaded if you accept cookies). None of them get more access than they need.
04 — YOUR RIGHTSThe standard ones, honored fast.
Under GDPR (and equivalent laws), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your account and all associated data.
- Export your maps and account data in a portable format (JSON + PNG/PDF).
- Object to certain types of processing.
To exercise any of these, write to privacy@bettermaps.ai. We respond within 7 days.

We use a small number of cookies, all listed in our Cookie Policy. None of them track you across other websites.
