01 — ACCEPTANCEBy using Bettermaps, you accept these terms.
These Terms of Service form a binding agreement between you and Bettermaps S.L. (Oviedo, Spain). If you don't agree with them, please don't use the service.
02 — YOUR ACCOUNTKeep it secure. Keep it accurate.
You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us at support@bettermaps.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the legal minimum in your country) to create an account.
03 — ACCEPTABLE USEThe short version.
- Don't use Bettermaps to make maps that violate any law.
- Don't upload content you don't own or have permission to use.
- Don't try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer or abuse the service.
- Don't impersonate other Bettermaps users or our staff.
- Don't use Bettermaps to harass, threaten or harm anyone.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. We try to be reasonable about it.
04 — CONTENT OWNERSHIPYou own your maps. We own the platform.
Anything you create using Bettermaps — maps, routes, atlases, brand profiles — belongs to you. You grant us the limited license needed to store, process and display your content so the service can work.
The Bettermaps software, design, templates, and trademarks remain ours.
05 — PAYMENT & REFUNDSClear, honest billing.
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually, in advance. You can cancel at any time from your account settings — your plan stays active until the end of the current billing period.
14-day refund. If you're not happy within 14 days of a new paid subscription, write to support@bettermaps.ai for a full refund. No questions, no forms.
06 — TERMINATIONBy you or by us.
You can delete your account anytime. Your maps stay exportable for 30 days after deletion.
We may terminate accounts that violate these terms, after warning when possible. In cases of severe abuse, we may act immediately.
07 — DISCLAIMERS & LIABILITYThe standard legal section.
Bettermaps is provided "as is." We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the service will be error-free.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
08 — CHANGESWe'll tell you.
We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes are announced by email at least 30 days in advance.
09 — GOVERNING LAWSpain, EU.
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Oviedo, Spain — except where local consumer-protection laws give you the right to file in your own jurisdiction.
